For over 20 years, The International Songwriting Competition has celebrated excellence in the art of songwriting. With more than 24 categories to choose from, including Folk/Singer Songwriter, Pop, Rock, Country, and more, ISC has worked hard to create a platform for all songwriters to gain exciting opportunities and connections through their music. Plus, the competition is open to writers of all ages and experience level! 

Every year, this competition gives away $150,000 in cash and prizes, including $25,000 in cash to the Grand Prize Winner. Additionally, every entrant can get the chance to showcase their music to a panel of esteemed recording artists, songwriters, and music industry executives including Jason Mraz, Elle King, Andy Grammer, Nancy Wilson (Heart), Tom Waits, and more! By competing, you are taking one step closer to advancing your career as a writer.

Every year, Nashville Music Academy receives requests from all over the world from people who have visited, or are planning to visit Nashville. They want to learn more about songwriting and the history of Music City (which got its name from the Fisk Jubilee Singers). Some want to music lessons specific to country and bluegrass. Others want to see what a songwriting session is like. Either way, NMA has an Educational Tourism experience to fit your needs. Nashville Music Academy Featured on Undercover Celebrity Boss

Nashville Music Academy was recently featured on Undercover Celebrity Boss. Jewel (yes, the Jewel) presented contestant Amanda E. with a scholarship to NMA for guitar lessons, voice lessons and songwriting classes. Amanda has been studying with NMA instructor Michaela Neller, who is also a well-known internationally touring Americana/Alt Country songstress herself. Our favorite thing about this is our students reaction. It’s great to know that our clients and students are excited to work with us.
