Nashville Music Academy welcomes new piano, drum and guitar instructor Cris Gonzalez. He is a graduate of Berklee College of Music and has been teaching for 10 years. Gonzales has always been around music education. His father founded a Rock Academy in his home town of Sugar Hill GA where they gave lessons and arranged bands for kids to get jamming and even go out and gig! He’s taught at various schools in Georgia as well as Boston. His philosophy is preserving the fun of music and getting kids (and adults!) in to the rhythm of things by prioritizing feel in performance, quick ways to reach goals, and getting to the heart of why music can be a powerful tool for everyone to be able to express themselves, and light up places in the brain and body that may have been idling in the past.
