Scholar Program Choices
Rock Band
Scholars will work as an ensemble performing contemporary pop/rock songs suitable for their age. This will include repertoire from several eras (60’s to Present) in a classic band arrangement (guitar, bass, keys, drums and vocals). Good for beginner and intermediate students who already have an instrument .
Orchestral Ensemble
Scholars will work on ensemble pieces for strings, brass, woodwind and keyboard. Students interested in this group should have some experience with their instrument. The repertoire includes traditional and classical pieces.
Singer Songwriter Group
Scholars work as a group and in smaller satellite groups writing and performing original and cover songs. Beginner piano and guitar students do well in this group. There is also a choir aspect. Beginner and Intermediate vocalists also welcome.
